I think by long pants he means jeans, and KCIR requires a helmet no matter what. Depends on the track.

Wow, I'm surprised that so many of you guys are required to wear a helmet no matter what. I almost always go to US131 to race and I've seen them let people go without a helmet while running 13's, and it's a beautiful track too.

I race at Portland Raceway and Woodburn Drag Strip, they both require long pants no matter what but only require a helmet at 13.99.

Before I leave for the track I make sure I have all fluids filled, no leaks, battery is still locked in place, basic tool kit and that all lug nuts are torqued and that they are all there (Somehow I ended up losing one and didn't know till I got to the track).

Hey thanks, thats exactly what I meant not a firesuit. Some type of long pants, jeans or something. I went there in shorts before and had to leave to go to a Walmart and get long pants. Oh and no tank top, had to have on a regular t-shirt minimum.

Thanks for everything guys, makes for some good note taking, bearbeer3_4, what do you mean by AAA? (thats prolly a really stupid question), we have a drag strip not 5 miles from my house, I'll definently go check regulations and I was thinking maybe they could get me a copy of the Tech. Inspection sheet so I could check her over personally before I went up there on a wasted trip? Again thanks for all the info!

AAA is the best thing going. They will tow your car 4 times a year for you, bring you fuel, jump start you, unlock your car for only about $50 per year.

This is good to know information for sure! I have what I think is a bone stock 95' Z34 that I just bought about 3 weeks ago and was hoping to see some baseline info to go on. We have a small town 1/4 mile track nearby that I been wanting to go to, but I have some minor issues with the car to handle first.
