alright... well, I thought Id tell ya about my race against "Melissa", some crappy GS eclipse thinking they have more ***** then mine. sooo... heres what I need to explain about my town... its 3500 people, and has two major roads going in/through/out of town. one, washington, coming in to town and ending at a 4 way that convently connects you to 2nd street, the other major road, both 4 lanes wide (2 each side) that goes through town. I was on the backroads driving around with a friend when headlights quickly come up on my rear. I slow down in case it was a cop and start driving back to the main road to ge them under street lights. I find myself closest to washington, so, I head there. I find it a red eclipse, so I turn down the road and start my little treck to keep going through town. It follows, and hops in the other lane pulling up next to me. I jump 10 miles an hour up, so now going 15 over (30 MPH speed limit) and it pulls up next to me a moment later, then, I see the front end of theirs pull skyward as if its trying to accelerate. It starts pulling away, but, at a very laughable speed. I floor it, and within a few seconds Im back up with it and pass it going close to 80 miles an hour through town. I stop at the 4 way, then turn down 2nd street. They follow after they get there, and I am back to the speed limit. they catch up, pull along side of me, then try jumping a few times to get me to do it again... at last, I give in, they launch, I launch, at again just pull away without a problem. that, again ends at a 4 way and unfortnatly, is a cop just pulling up as we do. aka, I called it a night after that. so, 1 overkill for me...

yea... im always leary about doing anything in this town... I mean, how ever much Id love dealing with cops who have let me off with countless minors, 80(ish) in a 30 might be pushing it....

 

ahahaha yeah but u gotta admit it feels good to put those coke bottle sized engines in their place

 

MC vs Duramax
Going home after coming in 2nd place at our saturday night poker game. Hit a stoplight with a Duramax. I could tell the guy wanted to run, but I wanted to see what button did what in my new car.
Green light.....
The Duramax blew black smoke and was GONE! I was still playing with my buttons.
Next light, same Duramax. OK, got the buttons figured out, except that one... GREEN LIGHT!
OFF he goes, I hit the throttle.
The Duramax won. But from a full truck length head start I was to his door by the next light.
I didnt buy this car to race, but I'm glad it can.

 

Good kill on the Eclipse. But with the Duramax for a big *** truck they can move pretty good. Plus the Duramax is the sports car on the diseal trucks

 

yea, look up some duramax races on youtube... those things have beaten corvettes, mustangs, and all kinds of imports... those twin turbos aint no joke...

 

A guy I work with has one, quad cab, 8ft bed, 2500. I raced him in my Firebird and he gave me more of a run then I thought it would have. Then I drove it and was surpized about how much it would kick you back when that turbo came around.
