Well this is funny

I was thinking about getting on here and making up a thread like this, but felt that since i hadn't logged on in a while, (and i know alot of people on the site were pretty good friends with him) it wouldn't really look good for me to come out and say something like this "bashing" another member...BUT...

I'm sure some of you remember a thread about 1 1/2 years ago about him painting some reverse lights and tail lights to match the body color of your monte. Well i took him up on this for $100. Sent him the parts to be sanded and painted and have heard that they're sent a couple times, heard that he was gonna have his dad ship them the next morning, and a few other ones.

I was pretty sad to see when i logged on last time, that he hadn't been on the MCF in a while, and the past month or so when he was online, it wasn't for very long at all . . .

Hopefully something comes from this thread because i'm not only out the $100 but also the parts (which i'm having a pretty tough time finding)

In a way i'm super pi$$ed about this, and in a way "karma's a b****"

Like i said, hopefully something comes of this. . . .

 

A bunch of us were back and forth with Mike on facebook. Honestly I don't think any of us(like myself) will get out missing parts back, or any kind of money back. Its sad, but I think that's the truth.

 

i had no idea this was happening to anyone else. Else i would have spoke up a long time ago

 

It's always nice to give someone the benefit of the doubt. It's just a shame this happened

 

he told me last Wednesday that it was SHIPPED (for the 3rd time). Still, a week and one day later, I have not received my part. In his last message he sent me on facebook, he said "Part is on its way, thank Mitch for the delay". i'm not even going to elaborate on that, just rediculous that Mike would come up with that...

I was sorry to read your post & other member's problems with a promise never kept...

I was really hoping that `Mike was going to try & make good on his promises. Do you know how many there are that did not get what they contracted for ?

I find it very sad 4-Sure...Maybe it's time for a class action law suit ?
Get all involved together & get an attorney to file or just calk it `up to another bad deal in life & another hard lesson learned Some lessons are more expensive then others...I hope everyone's loses aren't to high.

 

I would get a hold of the his local police station and tell what's going on, I have heard of people doing that on other forums and getting results.

 

Well I have nothing to report about the above situations. If anything good could come out of this I was thinking we should create a forum "Monte's List" similiar to the "Angies List" for contractors. Members could report to the forum admin's any negative or positive buying experiences they have had with other members. From there that seller could be put on "Monte's List" as a "Reputable" seller or a "Shunned" seller. This would give buyers peace of mind when buying from one of us who do sell things here. ??????????? Yes No
