Default Turn signals and mirrors?

Ok before I start with posting about this mod...I will say yes I am still dragging it out on the projectors. I ran out of motivation for working on them for a month or so. But I will update that as well because I opened one of the two sets of black headlights :p

Any ways I have always wanted to put turn signals somewhere on the mirror whether it be on the front side of the mirror or behind the mirror. The only reason that I am going through with this mod at this point is two reasons. The LED pods were free and the weather is nice. What I have are two LED pods that were removed from 2009 GMC Denali of which was in an accident and both mirrors were damaged and getting replaced.

Today I have prewired my doors for this project so it wont be another projector retro project lol. The pods have a disconnect which makes it easy to remove the mirrors still. Wiring went through the door boots and taped to the rest of the vehicle harness so that it looks clean and secure.

Wires ran the the door boot.

Next step is to remove the mirror from the mirror housing and attach the pods to the mirror. Then tap into the turn signal wires. Pictures to come hopefully this weekend. Weather is supposed to continue to be nice.

Looks like an interesting project, i'm not a big fan of the turn signal arrows on the montes, I just don't think they fit the car itself, but I'm interested to see where this goes!

be sure to post more pics! (as I'm sure you will haha)

The nice thing about this setup is that you'll never know that I them until there lit. They wont be seen otherwise.

I always wanted to do this mod too. I think they look sweet when they are hidden behind the glass and only show through when lit. Hope these turn out good for you

I bought some aftermarket eBay arrows and added them to mine a few years ago using the hazard flasher to power them. That way you ensure that they flash with the turn signals and hazards. I like them!

I also just got done doing a projector retro and it wasn't really that bad.
