Agree with this 100%, but with inexperience comes costly repairs, Thats why I always recommend orbitals.. and leave the rotary to the professionals..

Amy if you were curious IDK, but you can use the Meguiars DA system with you Porter Cable Polisher

same here i never tell anyone to use a high speed that hasnt used one before...water stains can be really hard to get out and some are etched so deep in the clear they dont come out all the way

In my belief and my experience.. I think set it water spots are completely 100% avoidable. I dont have them, in the almost 3 years ive owned my car, or even in the 2 years I had my first car.

I understand the OP, that had them in when he bought it. All it just takes a bit of maintenance and love and you wont see water spots.

agreed...if ppl would take good car of their cars alot of problems would be avoided. water spots can be easily avoided with regular wash/waxes to help build protection on your paint.

side note: I havent ever figured out why some car manufactures put the sprayers for your winshield on the hood either. they usually make a mess and make spots all over your hood if the windshield spray sets on your paint too long.
