Tree Sap...on my hood
Not thinking I parked my car near a pine tree while I was gone for a few days and I come back to a big sap mark on the hood of my monte...anyone have any experience in removing this safely?
It's partially hardened to the point where its not goopy anymore.
I'm looking into some commercial tree sap removers but I've also read about home methods such as nail polish remover, wd-40, or hand sanitizer.

I used Goof Off to take pine sap off of the Expedition and it didn't do any harm. I kept the Expi waxed so sap removal was not too difficult. Rewash & wax after of course.
Consumer "bug & tar" products from the car wax companies were useless against pine sap.
