Default PFYC hood fitment?

I got into a front end accident with my car, so if someone else is paying for the hood, why not get something different? right? so anyways $549 is just about the price of a GM hood, so i'm interested in the PFYC hood, but i would like to know how they fit, as they are made entirly of fiberglass, and how well all the stock hardware bolts up to the fiber glass.

What custom work has to be done to them? Someone else will be putting on the hood and painting it so i would like something that isnt going to cost alot or take alot of time making it fit right. I appriciate any input on this product.

Thanks, Bob

FYI - You might want to check with the body shop or the insurance company responsible first.

A friend of mine years ago was dating a girl that had a similiar situation with a late model Camaro. The shop and the insurance company REFUSED to let them get a different style hood (even if they paid the difference in cost) since that was not what was on the car during the accident and they did not want to risk complications (I know sounds silly) as a result of using a different hood.

The mpd and pfyc are the same hood. They are a steel frame, almost the same as the stock, with a fiberglass top. Shouldnt be hard to get to fit at all.
