Well that's what im going with when I redo mine :p
I have a kit right now but in yellow :p

 

Why yellow? Lol

 

#1: I will absolutely take everything off to paint them ... That is just how I roll.

#2: @03JGMonte: When you say a top coat/clear coat, do you mean like a top/clear urethane like most vehicles are done in these days?

and i didnt mean im doing mine in yellow, just saying a have a yellow kit

 

Yup same as a car used dupont paint & 72200 dupont clear
