Funny Greg. When I was in Boot Camp there was a guy from Utah I think, (it was almost 30 yrs ago) that the guys use to tease about the sheep. His last name was Ergan. So the guys would imitate a "Sexy Sheep voice and say "Eerrrgan"

Ha ha it was to much fun in the military, always having fun busting someones elses chops. Builds comraderie, miss those days for sure, out here in the civilian world theres really no one to put your back to.

Ergan totally sounds like a Utah name, Neldon, Hyrum, Enos etc... Errrrgan...

Take care Navy, did you eve go to Rodman Naval Station in Panama? Reguarly went to their pistol range to practice, had opportunities to go to your mess halls. MAN you Navy types eat VERY good, I was stunned at the difference in the quality of Army and Navy mess.

Ha no, C17's were coming online, we still had the C5's. All they ever put you out the door on is C141 Starlifter, C130 Hercules and C123 Providers, Hueys, Chinooks and then Blackhawks.

Do they actually use the C17 in Airborne ops now? Wow, thats got to hold like a frikn whole infantry company I bet. Would be one long pass getting everyone out or a go around.

I used to eat at Howard AFB in Panama, I'm telling you the Navy eats good...

Wow David, I'm Glad ships don't fly. I would hate to have had to jump of the deck of an aircraft carrier. But at least water has more give that ground. And 90 ft is slot shorter distance than 10000ft.

Ok 141's. That's what we used to have here. Yeah they run airborm drops out of the c-17. A **** ton of guys fit in them haha. Its cool to watch the train of guys coming out the doors mid air. The 130's were a maintenance nightmare... now the j class is a little better. C5's just.... yeah... they are huge but... they suck.

Btw, do you know how to tell if a c5 is broken?

Its on the ground! Hahha.

Maintainer humor...
