When i did my TrailBlazer, i used House of Color urethane enamel lettering paint. We masked it off and just painted it in. But instead of just using the paint by itself, we added DCX61. Its a urethane harder. It wasn't clear coated after wards or anything. Just the harder added. Never had a single problem with it. I would even run it thru the car wash when i didnt have time for a wash. Never flaked off.
