I definitely agree with going for the different spoiler. I am doing the same thing and my car is going in to get painted this Monday. Just curious tho how much work was it to swap spoilers? Did you fill in the holes? And how many holes does your new spoiler require. I went ahead and got a whole new trunk and spoiler and to my surprise it was bolted on with 7 studs.

It wasn't terribly difficult. I had to drill through some of the inner trunk to access the holes I drilled to mount it, but otherwise, it was a fairly simple install. I'll post some pics later on. I took the old pancake spoiler off and had the paint shop fill in the holes. Then I waited a couple weeks after it was finished just to let the paint cure a little bit and drilled the holes for the new spoiler. There are 5 holes total. 2 on either outside edge and one in the middle directly above the LED brake light. I'm guessing the aftermarket one I bought has slightly different mounting than a stock one.
