Default Fresh Paint and Shiny

Just got mine painted the past week and went to pick it us yesterday. It had rust on it in many patches, and along the bottoms of the doors. The man did an excellent job! Looks brand new!

It looks nice. Gotta do something about that orange peel tho. It would drive me crazy. Can I ask what you paid for the work?

Hi `Austin,
You have a beautiful Monte Carlo SS 4-Sure.
It looks brand new, and in ShowRoom Condition.
Thanks for posting/sharing your awesome photos.
Wish you many more safe miles of fun.

Forgive a newbie, but what's orange peel? Is it the textured look in the paint when one looks up close like in the 1st and 3rd pictures?

That's a nice looking car (!), even if it does have a Hendrick Motorsports applique on it.

yeah it is the textured look around the bottom of the doors. It can be wet sanded and buffed. Alot of work and I seen pros mess it up.

Orange peel is from not color sanding before clear is applied and also after if the clear wasn't wet sand and buffed.
Saves cost.
And $7K for a paint job???

$1K-$2K for what the op got.
$2500-$4K for complete car, wet sanded and buffed.
At $7K, some serious work was needed or SHOW quality.
Least around here it is.

To the OP, it do look good even with the light peel it has.

I see lot's of orange peel, I wonder if they tried to be slick and used single stage paint.
