Default 2002 monte SS clean up

Hey, so I purchased my monte used, my church has a friendly little car show I wanted to enter it in but looking at my car I feel like it could use a few things cleaned up first. The car has the ground effects trim that didn't come stock but unfortunatly has been a little beat up. Would I be able to putty up the scratches and have it repainted or should I just try to smooth it and paint it? Also the right rear fender had some serious scratches that were puttied up and covered without being smoothed thus the paint is dingy and rough. Would I be able to get the one small section painted cheaply or would I have to have the wholerear fender? My goal is to be able to have my monte show ready by next year, I'm not expecting it to kill or even win but I would like it to turn heads and draw stares more so than it does now.

If I were you, I would just go to a local body shop and have them do it. It would be easier and you know it will be done right.
