Default 2nd generation body panels

Hey folks! This is my first post! I'm about to become a very excited owner of a 1973 Monte Carlo!! Body is in great shape except for rot over the driver side rear wheel. I've been searching the internet for a driver side quarter panel but cant seem to find anything for a 1973 model year. I've found several companies that have 1976-1977 panels. Does no one make replacements for 1973 or am I just not searching correctly?

Thanks for any and all advice!

Eric

Sadly, not too many RWD owners here.... I believe there are some threads on here where people asked the same questions and some people did have some advice.

Please feel free to share updates when you get the car and some pics. I know a guy local to me who has an outstanding '73 Monte.

Default 2nd gen body panels

Hey Eric, I just finished a 12 year restoration on my !977 Monte Carlo. I had rust through arrears along my back window corners. I found a gentleman in ohio, he's sadly passed away last year, that I got a 1975 whole NOS quarter panel. Here's where I am going with this. If you have a 1973, BUY ONLY PARTS FOR 73'S !!! they say the 73-77's are all the same but they are not !! The 75's side marker lite is positioned differently, and the slope of the decklid is a little different. Now ive got a 1/4 inch gap between my chrome trim for the rear window and the body at the lower corner. Had to take it back to shop and only thing they could fix was the marker lite. So buy only parts that are the right year for your car. And NOS parts are expensive but I got a lot of extra NOS and good used parts for sale also once I found the correct parts for my '77.
