I like my Monte because I haven't seen another one around here like it. The PO has a vinyl top added to it that make it look like a Rag-Top -- but, it's really a Hardtop. I didn't like it at first. I didn't have the knowledge about doing the maintenance to the DriveTrain and accessories. But, now that I have a couple of books and have learned how to do the maintenance ... although some jobs are labor intensive ... it's WORTH it when you get that Power Plant tuned-up nice and running like an Atomic Clock.
I give it a 10 for Comfort. Driving this thing all day long is a joy. I've been on the road for hours on end with the Cruise Control set at just below 80 mph ... and, ... the Engine just powers this nice car right-along without too much of a demand on the Engine what-so-ever. All day long at 18-Hundred to 2,000 rpm's is easy on Fuel and so quiet you wonder if that 60-Degree V6 is running, sometimes. Then, when you need it (or, ah-hem ... want it) you'll find all the Power you need to swing out into the left-hand lane and wizz by a Tandem Trailer of a line of slow moving traffic.
Style and Grace with the heart of a Gladiator. The Monte Carlo has it. I'm glad it does. Because I got one, now ... and ...
I'm diggin' it!
