While I Was Out Today...

If DW did write the message in the car.
A. They would have had to lay the back seat down.
B. DW would have had to crawl in the back, lay down on his back and write the message.
Can you see Darryl Waltrip doing all this?
The only other solution would be DW signed the panel and THEN it was added to car while being made on the assembly line. Heck Jeff Gordon signs the dash in the JG Montes. Looks at the JG Monte web site and look at the pics. So why was DW only allowed the sign an obscure panel in this car?
As for the mileage. The first time you hit the odometer/trip/mileage button the mileage appears first. It took me several attempts to get a decent photo to post. So I am the one who pressed the dash button to get the image. Sure the salesman was first to show me this. The used car lot the car is at may not be a high dollar dealership but so far I've never heard anything bad about this car lot. As clean as this car is under the hood and just about everwhere else sure the miles could have been rolled back and sure the car sould have cleaned that good to give the impression it's as nice as it appears. One sure thing that would be the clincher would be factory stickers on the parts. Like the fuel lines. With 1,826 miles this car should still have them. My 2006 does at 14,000 miles.

HEY!
Look at the tires.
If this car has 1,826 miles on it, why does it have the white letter Nascar tires on it and not the yellow letter tires? With 1800 miles the tires would still be new. So why change them?
Only other solution would be the car didn't get Nascar tires like the Pace and Signature Series cars did and the owner wanted them on the car.

It's not DW's "message". Looks more like a DCM or DLM Probably the guy in charge of the company that converted it or the guy doing it. BTW note the date Oct 31... It's a Halloween car... It's dressed up as a Cup car! :p
Honestly, with my monitor at work I really can't tell what the body kit looks like but I like the colors. Thought it was a sharp combination back when Mikey drove it. Do away with the hood pins, decalmania on the trunk, make it an SS with the high performance package and I think it would be a sharp car

The guys on Chevy Talk tell me you should replace tires every 2 - 3 years.
Having said that I do know if you take care of them they will last longer then 3 years with no problems.
The tires on my '86 Monte were installed in june, 2000. Making them just over 9 years old. They still look pretty much new.
I keep the car inside, usually covered up, and I put tire protectant on the tires often. The tread still looks new as far as that goes, too.
It could just be the previous owner of the car just wanted the Nascar tires on the car to give it a more professional look? Like me wanting them on our '03 PAce car. Even though the tires currently on the Pace car are fairly new.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Wasn't the 2003 Jeff Gordon Monte the only one to get the yellow lettered tires from the factory?

I can't say for sure about the tires?
I do know when the Pace car registery used to be a working web site other members posted their cars had them when new.
But is this true information or not, I do not know?
