I know the GM took I think the Holden Monaco and rebadged it as a GTO for the American consume. It's that re-badged Holden I was refering to. I got to drive one and I LOVED the look of the interior/exterior and the feel driving one with a 6 speed.

I love the 65-67 Corvette... engine doesn't matter as much to me in those cars, I don't run them har danyway I preferred the '68 GT to the '70 Boss Mustang though. The rest of them are about the cars I would have though....
I'd like a '70 Cougar Eliminator Spoiler though..
Or a '69 Talladega version of the car in my siggy....
Used to prefer Talladegas... now I prefer my own car with the recessed grill and white hood.
I like the 4th gen Montes and the same year Thunderbirds.
My dad had a '69 GTO Judge he pulled out of a junkyard and rebuilt the front end on. Blue with an orange stripe.

My dad always said the Talladega looked like it had a front end clip off of a Lincoln. I guess I'm prejudiced for my GT... ithink I even prefer the "style and luxury" of GT to the "brute power" of the Cobra...
My dad has the Fairlane coupe with that hood scoop... but I like just a plain hood now.
I've never been all about just brute power and going (which is why I own a Ford, LOL), I like my car to have a little class and style about it. I like to have a pretty interior as well as exterior. That's why I ogt the Monte over a Camaro... I think the Monte is much more aesthetically pleasing than the Camaro inside, equal outside, with V6 engines, they're comparable... sometimes wish I had gone for the 98-02 Firbird Trans Am though.
Anywho, I feel like the GT stripe, fancy polished aluminum, and trim make it a much more stylish and classy car than the Cobra, evne though the Cobra has a bit more grunt to it. Can't say I wouldn't own a standard Cobra though...

The only engine you could get in a 1970 Super Sport Monte Carlo was the LS-5 454/360HP.They produced 3823 of them for regular customers.
The LS-5 was a real RPO from the Factory for Corvettes-Chevelles-M/C-Big Passenger & Wagons.
Chevrolet never produced a 1970 Monte Carlo LS-6 as a Regular Production Option.
