I had a girlfriend once who claimed to be in to cars. She was a jack of all trades, master of none.
Very weird story of how I got it, but I bought her a somewhat rare '57 Chevy 210 2-door Hardtop. Everyone thinks all Hardtops are BelAirs, but they aren't.
I bought a set of Cragar S/S wheels for the car cause the quarters had been radiused by a PO. A guy I worked with had a set of wheels he sold me for $100. They were 15 inch wheels, 12 inches wide. And some pretty wide tires mounted on them. They fit the wheel well openings on this '57 to a "T."
She dumped me for a guy in the car cluB I was in. Then about 4 years later, she wanted to come back to me. While she was still married to this guy she dumped me for.
