Default My girls cavi on the dyno

On monday we dyno'ed my girlfriends 05 cavi. Here is a link to it on my fb
Christopher Driscoll | Facebook
A little low down on the cavi.
She had it bored .020 with forged Wiseco pistons and Eagle h-beam rods a set of ZZP nuetral balance shafts an studded the block with ARP studs. She put the Hahn Racecraft stage 1 turbo kit on.Added a intercooler a set of green top injectors out of a supercharged Cobalt SS running a 2 1/2 exhaust with a magna flow muffler an a tune.Plus a bunch of other things to get power down to the ground.
She put down 225whp an 210wtq with 12psi
She made 200+wtq from 3000-6000 rpms with a strong smooth power curve.
Jess did all the engine work her self an is quite happy with the end result.Of course she want to turn the boost up more an do the head an cams next.
I've walked a turbo Cobalt SS an a Mustang with her car.It is one fun car.

I know it's not a monte but it's still cool

I like seeing people do unique things to cars that typically aren't modded for performance

That is really cool. It's one thing to have a turbo Cobalt, but a turbo Cavi is much more unique. Unless of course we're talking about ZZP's 898whp Cobalt, lol.

Anyways, that Cavi is cool. Tell her to shoot for 300whp and beyond. She'll keep surprising people with that little car

It's currently the fast cavi in the cny area.there a couple other turbo cavi's but there not even close to her's.We were supposed to turn the boost up to 20psi but we need to do a few other thing first. It will be in the 300+whp range

Nice!, sounded like it was starting to beak up a bit at the top end almost like a bit rich or timing but could just be my imagination, I also have no turbo experiance so don't go off what i say

sounds a bit too 4cyl for my liking but I can't help but love the v8 sound!

Sounds like a fun car to drive!
