Ever see the movie: "American Graffiti?" It wasn't a movie for me. I turned 17 in 1956 and got my License after passing Drivers-Ed.
DANG! I thought I was one of the oldest on here? I was born in 1958.
Believe me. I am NOT making fun here. I admire the guys who grew up in the 1950s & 60s who were old enough to drive and experiece the Muscle cars first hand.
I had to ride in my car seat till at least 1962 before I was even allowed to ride on the actual car's seat. (yes, there were car seats for infants even back then. Mine had a steering wheel and a horn on it. The turn signal stalk moved up and down but there weren't any actual turn signals on the car seat)
I had to live second hand experiences (is this as bad as second hand smoke?) through older cousins to get a feel of what it was like to drive 3 douce Pontiacs, or 2x4 V8 Chevies.

My first GF was into cars, but it never worked, she THOUGHT she knew cars, untill she didnt listen. Long story short, no you cant run a stock catted 2.25" single exhaust system behind a cammed up 355. Wont last!! LOL, neither did our relationship. I find bringing in a girl that likes cars but dosent obsess over them is a good mix. You get to go to the car shows sat night, and she leaves you alone sun morning while your fixing what you broke last night at the track, LOL!
