If that did not drive you insane, your a strong person. Heck, pre-drilling and hand nailing everything, Your the man!! I'm a tile contractor and lots of times the hardwood floor guys are there just slamming the wood in. Heck the way you did it bet you don't ever have a squeaky floor. Looks pretty good Tad, bet your happy to be off your knees.
Floor tile is better......LOL JK, the wood is a nice organic and warm effect. Good job bro..

Looks great Tadd. I love the look of hardwood floors. 2 bedrooms and the hall upstairs have hardwood floors. My main floor does too but I'm not ready to pull the carpet out and refinish them yet.

Thanks guys! Space any one comes near that floor with a skate board I'll use the skate board for a tounge depressor (LOL)
It is the 1st floor I ever put down let alone all by myself. Not bad for an ole fart, computer geek like myself. Any rate wife is happy so everyone is happy
Pretty sore today - I just want to get the room done so I can get to work on the Monte.

Thanks! coming from a pro like you it's a heck of a complement Nope no squeaks. The sub-floor was in good shape and the boards are in nice and tight. I used a vapor membrane under the floor too. 1/4" gap around all the wall surfaces as per the instructions. (base board will hide the gap. )

[quote=Tadcaster;440221]One of the reasons I haven't been on line so much.
Zach's old room was trashed. Ronda wanted a guest room first on her list was a hardwood oak floor just finished to night. All by hand pre-drilled and nailed by hand no nail gun. Not a laminate but solid oak.
Those are also new walls (Paint and patched) on his old walls there wasn't a square inch not having a band poster stapled to it. (His old walls where flat black) these are repainted mothe in color.
Personally I like the flat black walls with Flames. And a big throw rug in the middle that has the BUD LIGHT Logo on itBut for you yummy types Its a very nice job. I sent you my address. So you can get started on mine next. !
