I feel fine around here. We lock our doors just in case, but i mainly lock my doors in town not because of thiefs, but annoying friends. Like if i leave my window cracked theylle break in just to say they did haha, but its all in good fun.

In our small beach community we never have a problem
until visitors/vacationer's/tourist/city gangs
come in2 our village & cause problems for the seniors.
Some, many I've found 2day do not respect their elders,
and treat them in cruel disrepectful ways.
They thrash their rental cars, thrash tear `up the condo's
they rent, and leave tons of thrash on the `Beach.
Ok, not everyone, but there seems to be more each year.
U.R. lucky/fortunate to live in a safe/secure area of our
country. Many in our world are not, & many in our
country are not : (

Well, in the downtown tourist area (where I work -- night shift), there are lots of bars and clubs. There are always lots of fights and unfortunately some stabbings have taken place when alcohol fueled fights turn violent.
So I guess the answer would be no. Not really.
