would you beleive that i walked past it for over a year without noticeing it? of course, no one would recognise the car i started with, lol. it sank into the end of the dirt driveway with grass & other weeds growing up to the roof/ hood, on 4 flat, mismached, bald tires, a failed inspection sticker, and looked many shades darker from the layers of tree polen that coated the car.

i was looking for something, but never took notice untill i walked by one day, and said " you know, thats not bad..." i talked to the owner who was given the car & cared less caus he had a new suv & did not need the monte. i came up in my dads van, jumped the battery, drove around the block, and bought it on the spot.
i spent the next month cleaning, vacuming, washing, waxing, & repairing. i got tires off of an identicle 96 ls that rolled into the junkyard as i was leaving, 4 brand new BF goodwrench traction T/A rotationals, for $125. that was the most expencive thing i bought 4 it so far, lol.
i drove past the previous owners house to drop off a tool kit i found in the trunk, he could not beleive it was the same car, and said " damn, i shoulda traded in my tahoe & fixed tha monte.." lol, i couldint stop lafughing.

Not really much to report on my end... Kind of a simple day. Sun is shining, good to see after the storms we had yesterday.

Good Morning Everybody!
Hey Space... Since you always give us pics of common scenic views that you see everyday, I thought I'd show you a pic of the view I see going to and from work everyday. The Detroit skyline. Or at least part of it. I'd have to post a bunch of pics to give you the entire panoramic view.
You may recognize the tall, black & silver group of buildings on the right side as GM World Headquarters.

Good morning everyone.
Been a busy morning for me today. Finally got a moment to breath. I'd take pics of my trip to work,but its only a 5min trip so all i see are buildings. LOL
Maybe i'll take pics of the local scenery this weekend.

afternoon, everyone.
its my last day at tech for the year, & im BORED!!! i cant wait to get home, haha.
space, ive been wanting to take some pics of the cool old local buildings, maby this weekend? ill have to post them if i do.
ive been working on getting another red 5th gen ls that sits in our development, been parked since almost new, i think its a '99, and has around 60,000 on the clock. the PO died, and its been parked ever scince at the POs parents house. really nice car, profesional stereo, CB & poleice scanner, the low spoiler, foglights, & the guy kept it pristene when he drove it, it never saw a winter, he drove an old S10. i have to get some pics for you guys, ive known the parents all my life, & they want it gone, but it in the PO's wifes name, & she dosent want to think about it. maby someday, pretty soon my yards gonna be packed with 5th gens!
