cocoa beach....mmmmm. 2 of my favorite things combined into one!!!

 

 

I go to ALOT of concerts....

Seen Tom Petty twice, the WHO, Dr Dogg, seeing Old Crow Medicine Show, one of the guys from the Byrds (forget his name), Jethro Tull, Motley Crue, Buck Cherry, Trapt, Papa Roach, went to Bonnaroo this summer (saw: Zac Brown Band, Merle Haggard, Snopp Dogg, moe, Wilco, Govt Mule, Nine Inch Nails, Marz Volta, Al Green, Drive by Truckers, Cherryholmes, Bruce Springstein, Phish 2 times, and I cant even remember who else at the moment theres a ton more).

Most of the time what I remember best and enjoy the most is tailgating outside though

where did you see bonnaroo? around here? snoop dogg played bonnaroo?? whoa...

space - that beach looks gorgeous! i love those piers. there is one just like that in manhattan beach CA that i used to watch on a webcam years ago, and last year i finally got to go out there and walked out on it. there's just something about the view and the sound of the waves crashing down below that is so soothing and relaxing, i always find myself wishing i was there "right now". (like right now, since i'm about to rip my hair out trying to make travel plans for next week...argh!)

 

Bonnaroo is a 4 day festival (camping) in Manchester Tennessee. Its there every year for the past 8 or 9 years. TONS of bands, more than its possible to see so you have to pick and choose what you wanna see. YES roger mcguinn! He was great to see live

 

I forgot to mention that I have seen the Grateful Dead a couple of times. I would have loved to see Cheap Trick being that they are kinda local - Rockford IL. I think they are in town doing a show this weekend.

 

AP - my friend from nashville goes to bonnaroo every year. i find it odd that snoop dogg played. although i guess he'd fit right in, isn't it a bunch of stoners?

amy - GO SEE CHEAP TRICK!!! you won't regret it!! they're phenomenal live and so much fun!!!

 

For the most part there is a TON of drug usage and an inordinate amount of hippies... Id say about 95% of the ppl there are smoking dope with about 50+% doing more hardcore drugs. Snoop had a huge crowd, he was good. Theres a bunch of ppl there with very different interests, like I said NIN was there along with some other metal stuff and they all had huge crowds. Good time, and Phish put on the two most amazing shows Ive ever seen... Absolutely crazy shows, they played more like a rock band than mellow, it was amazing.
