Hi Space,
There never was an official count but I heard John Harvey say there was just over 100 Montes on the field saturday.
How did both my Montes do? Wellllllllllllllllllll............. um.......... let's just say not good if you mean awards won. My g/f sais she noticed a lot of people voting for one of my Montes or the other but I guess it wasn't enough votes?
We had a great time meeting new people and talking with them.
I was really pissed off on friday. We were just north of Cinci and it started raining. The closer we got to the hotel the harder it rained. So both cars were a mess. So much for the hours spent cleaning/detailing the underside of both cars.
We went on the tour of Trim Parts. I took the '06 (It was wet anyways) but out on I-275 my g/f mentioned Trim Parts was about 30 miles away. If I'd have known that fact I'd have taken the '86 LS instead. So there went 60 extra miles on the '06.
I'm trying to upload a few pics to my picturetrail account right now so I can share them.
Congratulations to FlynhghR - `Mike for winning MOTM.

This '86 LS arrived on saturday. The owner wants to sell for 12k. This car has 3300 miles on it and still smells new. Even the seats are nice & firm like new car seats.
I'd love to own it. Not only would it save me hours on hours of work but it's a twin to my '86 LS. It's only missing
1. The rear spoiler.
2. Lots of mileage.

...WoWThanks RJ, for sharing your Vacation Adventure, with the members.
That 86 is like a new one. $12K seems like a good price.

Wish they would have something like that around here. Looks like fun. I know they have the car craft summer nationals in The twin cities in MN. Thats a good time. All those montes at once would be awesome.
Thanks for taking time out to look at my meager photobook on picture trail. They're trying to hit me up to buy a membership so they're limiting what I can post on their website.
Anyways, the Nats was very fun. And having all those incredible Montes to look over for hours on end was great.
I guess all my hard work didn't pay off for me? I worked in the heat & hot sun to get the car looking presentable. Almost to the point of getting sick from too much heat and no fluids. Oh well.
I'll try to post a fe more photos for everyone to look over.
Have a great day everyone.

I wish the NMCOA would hold the Monte Nats closer to the west coast, but I've been told before that its almost impossible to do so because most of the members live on the east coast and mid-west. I'd really like to go to one of these, but paying $1400 for gas (round trip) is all that stands in the way.
Thank you for the congrats RJ! I was rather suprised! Here I am just planning on stuff to increae the cool factor, and I win!
Yeah, I would've loved to made it to the Monte Nationals, but, I gotta eat too, lol.I've decided that my first noticable mod will be fog lights. I want something thats brighter, and some I found online come with 7 color LED trim rings and 35 Watt blue/whitebulbs, but it shouldn't be a big deal to change over to the extreme blue 55 watters we sell at work.
I'll let everyone know how well they work. I plan on using stock wiring for the fogs lights themselves, and just have to run wiring for the LED trim rings alone.
Next is probably a billet grille, if I can find a decent price on em online.
