well, i know its running windows XP profesionall, but i kinda get the idea it was updated from windows 98 somewhere along the line?? idk, alot about this computer is a mystery to me, my dads old boss gave it to me when he was closing his company down, it was his daughters.... i got it probibly 4-5 years ago, and it was old then.... but better than what i had.

oh, i do have low memory, i have this thing that pops up to "remind" me.... plus i just updated my virus scan, so i bet that had something to do with it.... funny thing is, i had this same memory conversation with scc24540 when i first joined the site.... imma have to go look at my pm's to see what he said....

If this machine was "upgraded" to xp from win9x then i highly recommend you get a full clean install of XP (PM me if you need assistance obtaining a good legal copy).

if your receiving the low disk space warning, then that very well could be your issue right there... i would go through and remove ANY program that your not using, and delete any files you don't need... a full HDD can be a caveat for a whole slew of other issue (swap file for one).

if it were me, i would backup everything i wanted to keep (sorry, no programs in the backup, only files) and do a full clean install (on a fresh LLF), this will have you running much quicker, well as quick as it can...lol

if you really want a new machine, i can assist there as well. just give me a price range, and a little info about what you do on your machine on a daily basis, and i can give you a quote. im sure we can build something to do what you need inside a budget of $500 or less...

and because your a MCF member i will waive all my fee's (all you pay for is parts and shipping, i will even supply the OS/office for you)
