that brings back memories my best friend in high school had a 72 or 3 and we got hit on the passengers side right in the door fender area on the passengers side by a 80's Daytona. About 3 seconds later and my life could have been alot different or even ended, he turned to avoid the crash and sent me up against the door. lucky to have just a few broken ribs. Glad Gm built these tanks in the old days. Beautiful car and i like the yellow letters there original Oh and the impala needed a new fender and a little work to the door the daytona totaled. lol
It is powered by a late 60's 350, eldebrock intake and carb, dual Flowmaster exhaust, and a rebuilt tranny. I have put 2 new quarters, 1 new Nos Front Fender, used rust free other front and one used door. Doesnt leave alot of original sheet metal left huh. Really it needsd a trunk pan but I will get to it later, they dont sell it yet that I have found. I just patched it up. Took out the bench seat and put a Cutlass(73/4)console in it, Cavalier buckets and had the back seat recovered to match. It isnt pristine but a very nice daily driven vehicle. Lots of chatter from people when she drives it. She wont part with it so I am stuck with it. It has big block front and rear springs along with air shocks to lift it off the ground. The rear was really low when we got it. As long as she happy, I am happy and oh-main thing its paid for..... The original eengine ran good but tore starters up left and right, it had a piece of the block broken off and starter would move.. Needed a few other things so I jsut swapped her out. Doesnt matter to us if its numbers matching or not. She is 47 and will probably be the 65 year old driving that big Chevy. Heck its 40 now.
Very nice 71 Impala. Congrats on keeping it in such nice shape.
The yellow lettered tires? Maybe it's because I'm not used to seeing yellow lettered tires on that generation of car before.

I like the yellow letters...they make it your wife's very own special Impala! One of my favorite cars was my dad's '68 Impala, which I drove when it was still 1968. Those were the days when muscle cars were all over and I was getting ready to fall in love with the Monte Carlo when it came out in 1970. Who knew I'd have to wait 40 years to own one????
Wow man ur wifes car rocks. The stance is awesome and the tires draw the rite amount of attention to highlite that. I bet its hard to stay out of the driver seat. I cant wait to build a car for my g/f. Secretly it will be mine haha.
