Keys to the Car lost

You should be able to get a FOB from Auto Zone or any local auto parts store and program it yourself on an '02. The later years are harder to program. I've done it, but honestly , I couldn't even begin to tell you how I did it. That was a LONG time ago.

Thanks again everyone... I found a refurbished one for $34.95 + shipping = $45.99 at my door from Chipkeys.com... One of two places that ship to Canada...... I will up-date once I receive it... Funny, the guy at the dealership said if I buy it on line, I'll have to bring it in for progamming for $45.00, some of these guys will do anything to try and steal your hard earned cash...

Glad you found your keys. Now there's No worries about your old keys and someone breaking into yr home or car. My wife's Cobalt has two fobs. Neither one works after 4 yrs. We need new ones for it. With this info on here I'll go to Auto zone or some else that carries them. The dealer told me the same thing. $ 50 .00 to program them. Going to see if I can do it myself. But anyone on heres knows how. PLEASE let me know

On our 6th gens it's done through the stock radio head... There is apparently a FOB Prog setting and it's done from there, also heard the manual might have a step by step (haven't checked yet)... I haven't done one yet, but will post back once my FOB gets here... Maybe another member might have a step by step...
