Yes, `Keane, the area on the east coast beach area I grew up is really flat compared to your beautiful area of the USA 4-Sure...
I get tons of email from my senior citizen friends & I try my best to respond to all of them..I try to just do & update space news type letter & forward it to all on my mail list..I tried this morning to catch `up, but I never seem 2. lol
This morning one of the member's sent me the below to post. She use to live on the west coast of Florida in the below area and wrote "Space, we have hills in Florida" lol (I'm always amazed at how many of my senior friends visit our forum)
Below is what she sent
The Villages of Citrus Hills
High in the rolling (yes, rolling) hills of Florida, the dream of private golf club living is more accessible than ever
Time to ditch the conventional wisdom about Florida.
The lush rolling hills, long-range views, and comfortable coastal breezes at The Villages of Citrus Hills just don’t fit most people’s idea of the Sunshine State.
But, incredibly, this spectacular topography is just north of Tampa and minutes from the Gulf of Mexico.
Were it not for the warm winter weather, you’d be hard pressed to believe you were still in Florida. Especially when you reach the 7th green of their Skyview course. At 260 feet above sea level, it’s the highest elevation of any green in the state. In fact, members have watched many a shuttle launch from this vantage point.
The beautiful views that seem to go forever, weather that’s temperate in every season—and, yes, low humidity—might explain why 80–85 percent of residents live here year round.
Or maybe it’s the great air quality, lack of traffic, or small-town feel. Citrus Hills is bookended by two great towns: Inverness and Crystal River. Crystal River, recognized by Yahoo Travel and Coastal Living as one of the world’s most unique snorkeling sites, is also one of the few places where you can swim with manatees. The fishing here is pretty fantastic, as well.
I just thought I would share & add some activity & some Florida Mountain pictures I hope you & member's enjoy
