True story, last Thursday (5/22) I went and filled up both my Montes, ($4.19 for premium for the SS), my F-150, and a five gallon can for the mower, and the SS and the truck both had half a tank, because I had heard they were going to raise prices for Memorial Day.

Total cost - $165. [sm=wtf.gif]

Can you say OUCH? [sm=yikesomg.gif]

"When measured on an inflation-adjusted basis, the current price of gasoline is only slightly higher than it was in 1922. According to the Energy Information Administration, in 1922, a gallon of gasoline cost the current-day equivalent of $3.11. Today, according to the EIA, gasoline is selling for about $3.77 per gallon, only about 20% more than 86 years ago"

Only cause in 1922 there were 5 autos in the entire country. Only the very rich could afford one. The majority of the population was still riding horses & using buggies.

They fail to mention that!!!!

So yeah, the price of gas back then may have equaled today's prices.
