Irented a 2007 LS Flex Fuel Monte and was very pleased with the car. I was shocked that such a large car averaged 31 mpg on the highway and am considering buying one for the wifey.
What I am wondering is if the standard gas version of this3.5 enginewill do as well on mpg or is it something that is going on with the flex fuel thing. I did not burn ethenol fuel in the car and have no intention to do so.
If I get a non flex fuel vehicle, will I still get 30/31 on the highway?

I get 21-22 in the city on my 3.5 2006 Flex. The car is ok but the interior could have been made better since it was a $19,000 car.

 

you should get better mileage with gasoline because ethanol burns dirtier than gasoline.

 

I only get 16MPG city ... well at least that's what the computer says when I push the button on the dash ....
I guess I'll probably get worse now that I have 22" rims ... ha!

 

How do you drive your car? Slow and steady or fast and furious. lol.
