No chain restaurants, all family-owned, great food, good times--here are my picks:

Restaurant: Corner House, Racine WI
Best Pizza: Infusino's, Racine, WI
Diner: Cubby Hole Diner, Richmond, IL
Bar: Steitz’s Tavern, Antioch IL
Ice cream: Leon’s in Milwaukee
Best Sub: Leno’s in Waukegan, IL
Best Mexican: El Puerto, Fox Lake, IL

space, ever had venision? now THERES some good eats! i guess it could be concidered dining out since my buddy always gives me some jerky and samplings of there family chili and sloppy joes. im droolin just thinkin about it, lol.

i also love fish, wish i could get a plate like the one above more regularly, but its only served at the "classy" local places up here, so its special occation only.

Yes `Ryan, I have eaten Venision, Gator's, Wild Hog's,
Shark, and many wild animals, but fish/lobster/shrimp
are my fav's.
Many people are surprised when they find out the wild
aninmals that reside in the SunShine State.
Our deer R small compared to the Northern States & Canada.

I can catch fish, but I still can't shoot a deer

if I was starving, but wouldn't 4 sport

Elby's Big Boy is my new(old) favorite place to eat. the Strawberry Pie is bomb! the last one in western PA closed in '98, the same time some local no-goodnicks stole poor Big Boys head! I had forgotten all about Elby's until I saw the movie Sexdrive. that night we made the 1hr. 45 min. trip to the closest one over/up in Cleveland. it was worth the trek. we also hit up WhiteCastle while we were there. no, we weren't high.

I used to eat at Joe Bissett's Grub Steak in Dayton so much they knew what I wanted before I got seated. I still like eating there. Just haven't been in a few years.

Lately Burger King has been a favorite. I wanted the Star Trek kids meal toys they had.

I've like Pizza Hut for a long time. (Cause I love pizza)

Red Lobster is close to the top of the list. So are the Mac Shak's fries.
