favorite places to eat
hey, everyone, i figured i would see if i could start another random discussion thred, here goes...
what is you favorite resturant, diner, bar, or icecream stand to grab a bite to eat, and why? it can be in town, or on the other side of the country.
im gonna exclude fast food chains like mcdonalds, wendys, BK, DQ, ect, ect, because they lack the charactor that local sit- down eaterys have.
personally for local i love to go to kellys icecream stand in portland, PA during the summer, there building is the size of a small rectangular barn, & the list of " choices " takes up the entire short outside wall around the serving windows. they also have an inside, & you can get any food item from burgers to pork chops! but the ice cream alone is worth it. ive met people driving from allentown just to have it!
for away from home, i like pauls hotdogs in greenwood lake, west milford, NJ. my uncle lives right up the road, and i never pass up the chance to stop in. the hot dogs are great, and the cheese steaks are more like a slab of steak on a bun w/ cheese & onions

My all time favorite place to eat has got to be Frisco's in Downey, Ca. Whats better on Saturday night then good food, a criuse night and car hops.

Ice Cream: Sweet Retreat...(they have the best fozen yogurt. They make it fresh, and then take vanilla yogurt and use a machine to grind in the fruit/ flavor of your choice...awesome stuff) San Jose, CA

My favorite fast food right now, is Subway. I can't stand Mickey D's and B.K. anymore. Too much of both of them in high school just ruined it for me.
Favorite Pizza is one of the many local italian pizzarias. Windsor has a huge Italian community. And therefore tons of authentic Italian pizzarias. My local favorite is a place called Koolini's.

The Bum's & I don't eat @ to many restaurants,
and mostly prepare our own foods, or eat home cooked
meals with our senior citizen older friends.
We cook a lot on the grill & catch a lot
of our food from the sea.
