Looks like a fun trip. I would stop at the meteor crater in Arizona between Flagstaff and Winslow. http://www.meteorcrater.com/

Also have you ever been to the grand canyon? If not you need to detour from flagstaff up to it. It is well worth it.

Are you stopping in victorville? I would highly recommend running down to Huntington to enjoy the sites and beauty of the pacific ocean.

When you decide to do the Northwest cruise let me know I was born and raised in Oregon and lived in Montana. There is so much to see in the northwest.

Good luck!!

If you can, I would take an extra day to make your way to the California coast line...There is not much in Barstow, I drive through Barstow on my way to Vegas all the time, its about 5 hours southeast of where I live...most people from California refer to Barstow, and many other inland CA places as the "arm-pits" of California...LOL. Its very hot, and basically just desert in the middle of CA...the awesome views are along the coast of CA, or in the mountains, like the sierra's.

Unless you are visiting people in Barstow, I would go to the coast of CA. Or better yet, if you are visiting people, pick them up, and all of you take a trip to the coast!

Hope your trip goes well though, have a great time, and take pictures for us!

Barstow is great! To get fuel, food and then leave. It's too close to Ft. Irwin too. If you do come by this way, bring me some White Castles please. Or Portillo's.

I miss that stuff

But really, have a safe trip.
