Looked at the car today. Lets say she was a little rough. The body itself was solid and rust free, but every panel on the car was smashed to hell. All 4 fenders were mangled, the passenger door was smashed in, the bottom of the grill shell was smashed up in, all the glass was missing or broken and there was no interior. The guy wanted like 6 grand for the car. It was a $2500 car at the most. It would make a great project to restore since all the metal was solid, but for what my dad wanted to do with it, it wasnt worth it.

Im hoping his ambition to put this little coupe together will transfer over to getting the chevelle done now lol. His 38 is basically done and I would like to start on the SS but he needs to clear a space in the garage so we can get started on it.

I found a guy on the net who claimed he was getting 400 HP out of a Mopar 2.2 4 cylinder. Now this is not typical but it's be cool to have one.
My brother in law owned one. A 1979 1/2 ton my dad helped him get. It was a left over or something. When Chrysler used to own the plant in Dayton, they used to bring left over vehicles to Dayton and let employees have first pick at them. The city my sister lives in started giving her a hard time about the "Abandoned" truck behind their house. So one day (at like 7am) she calls me to come get her husband's stuff out of the truck before the city hauls it off. Which they did do that particular day. My mother called the city and made them return the truck at their expense. She offered to sue the city. The salvage yard brought the truck back....... and dumped it right in the middle of the street my sister lives on. My sister, girlfriend Debbie, and I were all out there trying to push the truck around the back of my sister's house. Funny now, but not back then.
slant 6 is a good engine too, suprisingly i've seen quite a few 1/2 ton dodge p/u's with that engine, if it's backed by a 4 speed they run along really good at highway speed. should fit no problems scince that car would have a flathead six from the factory, i think
