From the Staff: * Pardon the dust while we Remodel *
It's sometimes a thankless job, but someone has to do it
We love our cars this much, that we take on added stresses that have nothing to do with them! haha
We all hope that when all is said and done, the forum should be a lot easier to navigate and find helpful articles. We want to try to cut back on duplicate threads and telling people to search, because it can be hard to do that in the current state.
If anyone does have suggestions though, feel free to PM any of us!

Mike (03SSLE) - I have not gone deleting posts or threads. Thread have been moved. Anything put into the Tech Guides had a small rename in the subject header (usually to add a new prefix).
If any posts were deleted or altered, it was prior to me moving the threads.
If it did not qualify as a Tech Guide and the section has been removed, you should be able to find it under Monte Carlo Repair Help.
If you have a specific concern, please PM myself or another member of the staff rather then accuse us of something. Perhaps there is an explanation that can be provided. Or if you are looking for a thread and cannot find it, maybe something happened and it got bumped into the wrong location.

We remove posts and threads that violate the rules of the forum.
It's as simple as that. We remove a lot of spam and other things as well on a daily basis. We have to keep a simple set of rules and follow them.

Mike (03SSLE), I understand. Keep in mind, Mike (Chibi), I and any of the moderators can delete posts and threads. None of us close or delete threads without a reason. If you or anyone else finds that a thread has gone missing, I encourage you to PM the staff. If we are aware of it, we can hopefully explain what happened.
As Chibi said, we're addressing issues that violate terms of service/rules of MCF.
Keep in mind, MCF.com is not privately owned and we also need to respect the interest of the owning company, Internet Brands (who owns lots of different car forums).
In my entire time with MCF, since day one, the idea was to maintain a safe and fun place for Monte Carlo owners and enthusiasts, not foster angry arguments and ill-will towards eachother. It's not very welcoming to anyone if all they read on here was a bunch of angry comments from members.
I hope this clarifies things a little and puts this concern to rest. Again, if you have a concern, please address it in a PM with the staff first. We're here to help and maintain MCF, we are ultimately here for the members of MCF.

As Mike and Jason mentioned, please PM the staff if there is any concerns with the way things are being done. All of us are more than happy to help when we can. I will assure you that the staff is simply trying to make this forum a good place for anyone to come and talk about their Monte's. No one is looking to unnecessarily delete any threads or post.
For the record... The Commercial Posts and Group Buys section is on me. The final thing I did as admin was clean out that section.
I announced in that section a month ahead of time, that we were combining that section with the other Classified Sections (for sale sections). The threads that were still active and good were moved to other sections of the forum. I included a re-direct link to their new location, that stayed up there for a couple weeks.
Most of the threads in that section, however, were very old, outdated, and not valid anymore. So there was no need to keep them. I'm talking group buy discounts that expired 3 or 4 years ago.
