I have no emotional attachment to dodge or chrysler so it really don't matter to me. I think I am gonna look at all these new concepts and updated cars as just another new car. Everything changes and moves forward. If it didnt we all would be driving great big cars that have no creature comforts and get gallons to the mile. Barracuda, Challenger and Charger have been big sellers for Dodge/chrysler so they are gonna try to tap that market. I still thin GM is missing the boat on this.

I like it.The back end needs a little more work though.I wouldn't use the Cuda name plate but the intercepter.Kinda thought thats what it was at first a remake of the intercepter they did in the 80's.I think it was only a concept an just used in the movie the wraith.

I don't have the attachment to Chrysler that I do for Chevy/GM. And I've never liked Fiat. I think the current Dodge Dart, a re-branded Fiat, is an example of Fiat throwing a classic name onto one of their models just to sell cars. If they called it the Fiat 16i do you think it would sell as well here in north america? I don't think so.
The current incarnation of the Dart reminds me of what GM did to the Nova in it's last incarnation. A 4 cylinder pizza wagon.
But I have to admit I do kinda like the concept drawings of the 'Cuda. I wouldn't buy one though. I know Chrysler's history of quality issues. But I do like the look of it, and would take it for a test drive. And if that offends anyone, well, tough. This is a Chevy site.
If Chrysler ended the Chalenger and re-introduced the Cuda, it would answer my question about what do you do next? All these retro throwbacks look nice and all. But what do you do when the current retro styled offering doesn't sell any more, and needs a redesign?
As for the Monte Carlo. If anyone here is expecting GM to offer a new muscle car with the Monte name on it, you can stop holding your breath. They will not offer competition to the Camaro and Corvette as long as those two nameplates are still being offered.
I think a new Monte can be offered. But has to get closer to it's roots. Luxury Sport. Kind of like the concept Monte we see in some of the other threads on the forum. Now put a beefy V8 RWD in one of those, and sign me up for a new 2015 Monte Carlo.
