I am NEW here and I need help.. I have a 99 Monte.. Transmission (after replacing water pump a while ago) Park is Reverse, all gears are 1 off - Like starts in R but is not reverse it is neutral.. PLEASE HELP

 

Shifter on the column or console? Console shift there is a Gate that the shifter moves thru and this may just be out of sync You can remove the shifter handle and then pry the console cover up and gain access to the area.

 

I know this is an old post.. It is shift on steering wheel.. And I can't find the cable to fix it.. any ideas?
