Default Floor shift lever

Can anyone tell me ifthe floor shifter on a 2007 SS iscontrolled by a manual detent or iselectronically controlled? Would like to stiffen up the throw and change the select option on the Drive to Neutral position (currently a push is all you need to go from D to N - would like to change that) but not surehow to go about it.Went to alldatadiy and all I got was a vague picture and no help. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thank you. SAM Buscemi

Default RE: Floor shift lever

Both. The only electronic part is the solenoid that activates when you depress the brake pedal allowing you to move the shifter out of the park position. After that its all mechanical. The detent spring itself is located inside of the transmission. The shifter stops that make it necessary to depress the button or noton the shifter to move the stick to various different positionsare incorporated into the shifter.
