T-Tommy
My Name is Tom. I'm 63 years old. I live in Western New York(Batavia area). I purchased a used 78 Monte Carlo from a guy in Batavia around 1980. It was dark brown with a camel interior,305V8,glass T-Tops and a factory 4 speed. It had 38,000 miles on it when I got it. The guy I bought it from(last name Boheim) ordered the car new. It was beautiful and I have only seen 1 other like it. Unfortunately the last day it was on the road before Winter I hit a patch of ice and ended up hitting a utility pole. When they towed it out there was another pole buried in the snow that drew my car into the replaced pole. A girl had been killed earlier that year hitting the previous pole. I had a loan on the car and insurance totaled it although it didn't look all that bad. I was young and wasn't able to keep it and used the money to buy a 78 Regal(which actually looked nicer than the Monte) to replace it. I always wondered if someone was wise enough to fix that car and save it. I knew it was rare but did not know until today that there were only 75 made like that. I still have some nice pictures of it and a few memories. I think I paid $4500 for it. If anyone reads this and knows if it still exists I would appreciate knowing it. Thanks

Welcome! Certainly share some pictures of it. If you still have the VIN number, you might be able to do a few searches and see what happened to it.
