Yeah, I think the hangups I have about the 2006 are:
[ul][*]My warranty will be up within prob 6 months[*]The powertrain warranty on the 06 is ony 3/36,000 compared to 5/100000 on the 07[*]The 06 gas milage is less[*]Why was the 3.9 used one year and dropped the next? I think the 3.9 is still around in the impala though[/ul]
For some reason I think e85 will come around and that was another reason I was leaning towards the 07. Although when I do the math e85 would have to be $.90 cheaper than gas for it to be a wash considering the less mileage with ethanol.
I drove an 07 LT yesterday and thought the acceleration was decent, but then again I drive a 99 Silverado everyday.

Mine only cost $1400 and was only $30 extra bucks a month.
Flex-fuel will end up being a joke at $5+ a gallon. Lithium Batteries are the true future of cars. (Forget about hydrogen too.)
The 3.9 was engine of the year in 06, give it a chance.
