Default Project '82 Monte Carlo

Hey guys!
I just picked up my grandfather's 1982 (or '83) V6 Monte Carlo and the plan is to restore it. I think it's something on every car guy's bucket list: restore a classic
The car has been rusting away in his yard for around 6-7 years now, so there's plenty of work to be done. I have zero bodywork experience, but I want to do most of it myself, both to keep the costs down and it's just plain cool to have something you built with your own hands

So that's pretty much it! I live on Curaçao, a small caribbean island just off the Venezuelan coast. Locating parts isn't easy here so I'll probably have to order & ship most of it from the U.S.

It looks like there's plenty of help on this forum, so I'm looking forward to get started!
Cheers!

At 1 time I had an 82 Monte CL with T tops!
That was also white with burgundy interior!

Welcome to the Forum and good luck with the restoration. It's a rough one for sure but you'll be extremely satisfied when it's done and you can say you did the work yourself.

Welcome. And sounds like you will have your hands full, but where there is a will, there is a way!
