Im 18 living in Tennessee I used to own an 02 monte carlo ss when I was 15 but drove it into the dirt. After 3 years of looking I finally found a v8 2006 monte carlo ss 130k miles, rebuilt title, for 2 grand. It has two serious issues: The engine harness was cut and put back together with tape, and the whole electrical system is on the fritz( dying battery false codes, weird ****) the second issue is I need to replace the transmission solenoid but Im doing that myself. The driver window switch also does not work and the window is off track. Im replacing the blend door actuators because it is very loud. She needs some work but she is beautiful and very fun to drive. I need help fixing the transmission window, switch, and blend door actuators. A step by step or any advice would be very appreciated. Im desperate and this is my first project car and will be my daily when the harness is taken care of and the transmission solenoids are replaced. btw it is very comfy drives like butter and has a bumping sound system

Welcome to the forum! Definitely sounds like you have your hands full. I would start with seeing if a proper wiring repair would fix some of those electrical gremlins.

Welcome to the MC forum! Something you might try is finding an original GM Service Manual for the Car.
Not the hanes or others but a real GM one.
They will have a fix on most of the issues

Id second that. I believe they're made by Helm. The complete set of manuals new is a few hundred bucks, but they often have them on eBay for cheaper (shops closing down, previous owners that sold their car, etc). They'll give you 100% step by step on all of this stuff. Especially you're buying this to drive - it'll be nice to have for future issues as well.

I will suggest on the blend door issue - get ones with a long warranty. Id bet I replaced half a dozen of them in our 08 Impala. After the 2nd failure of the inside / outside one, I just disabled it completely. I did continue replacing both hot/cold ones until we finally sold it though.

Oh yeah. Did the blend actuators and was hoping that would fix the dying battery but no. Just gonna take her to a mechanic.
