window wont roll down?

Default window wont roll down?

i have a 2000 monte carlo ss, and yesterday i installed new speakers in my doors. well after my install everything seamed to be alright, they sound great. later that night i went to put my windows up. the driver side went up, but the passenger side didn't. i was told its a monte carlo thing.... is it true or not? i don't want to keep taking off and putting back on my door panels, so id like some help on things to troubleshoot

Double check the electrical connector for the window switch and for anything that may be obstructing movement of the window in the track.

It's something to do with the switch, either it's disconnected or damaged.

On the Monte's the signal to roll up the passenger window travels through the passenger switch, even if you're using the driver side switch to send the signal.

In my car, a damaged switch was the problem, replaced for ~$30 from ebay. And - I didnt' even take the door panel off to replace it. Taking the plate off behind the door handle gave me enough room with a pair of long needle nose pliers and some patience.
