So Now that you have that all straighted out. What do we call YOU . A 1st name would be great. Mine's Rick. So wouldn't it be cheaper to check out your local auto salvage yards for parts ? They can check around the country and see who has it. And then send it to your home. It might be worth while to check into. Maybe some members on here might have what you need also. Just trying to help

My name is Eric. BTW I did pick up my trunk lid used, $150 shipped from ecrater. Never used it before but figured I would take the risk for that low of a price. I'm going to check up PDR for some of the panels that are less damaged. My local shop won't even do estimates on hail damage since our big hail storm in 2010. I'm want to pick up a ram air hood..any suggestions? I've been eyeing the MPD motorsports hood.

HI Eric ... Thats cool you got it for that price. Good job. You might check into paintless dent repair. I seen their work at a Club meeting. They did a fender while we were holding our Chevelle meeting. At the end of the meeting. You couldn't tell it ever had a dent. Not sure how much they charge. But might be worth while to check into. What other panels do you need ?

LOL, the question to be asked is which panels DON'T I need...

I'm pretty sure the driver's side door and fender are undamaged (other than a little chipping in the paint on the trim.) Other than that, I need every panel repaired or replaced. I would buy a stock hood, but I would rather take the opportunity to make it look unique with an ss-style hood.

Ebay looks promising, I spotted a wrecked Intimidator being parted out for a quarter panel (and more). If PDR isn't cheaper for that, then I might go for it. PDR wasn't worth it for the trunk lid, too many deep dents. I'll have to discuss my options a little more with my body shop. I know the trunk is screwed so I ordered it.

Strangely, I've always wanted to fix a beat-up car. There's something more satisfying about that than buying a new one.
