motor mounts

Default motor mounts

My 2000 monte carlo ss keeps breaking top motor mounts, what can I use that wont snap. My husband had to chain it down still moves

The top passenger side from the Pontiac Supercharged motor is what many many Monte owners switch to. Ours is aluminum and tends to break, much like your experiencing and theirs is a cast metal. I found the same mount in other supercharged cars to like buicks etc. Go to the boneyard and pull one out, bet since it will now hold the top left one (drivers) will not break.

Could also be lower engine mount and or trans mount bad causing a ton of movement to break the uppers as well. I would check the lower mounts as well
