Liking the car a lot so far. Getting the little bugs worked. Nothing I didn't expect with 164k on it. I think I narrowed down the clink today . When I was putting new egr valve on. I grabbed hold of core support and rocked car forward and backward in park. It seems the noise is coming from the upper mount part that attached to core support. I had initially thought the were good, and do look good. The runner must get weak without detiorating? What do you guys recommend on replacements? Just part store. Is there a repair for it instead of replace?
Pics of car to come.

Got the p1404 taken care of. Got a new ac delco egr valve for 90 bucks. Of course light came back after 10 miles. Pulled over first chance shut car off, unhooked egr elec connection and cleared code. It's been over 150 miles and some short in town trips and no check engine light or pending codes. Now on to the clunk. I'm thinking its the mounts on the core support. Of course the expensive ones. I don't see a better replacement for these other than parts store though.

Hey OP, I see you're from Fort Wayne Indiana, that's close to where I live. I'm from South Bend Indiana.
