Default Issues with 2005 Monte Carlo

I have been on here asking for help why my battery light would come on.. Battery is new Alternator is brand new and when I was reviving engine the engine light came on.. Did a reading and came back with Oxygen Sensor 02 would this play havoc with throwing on battery light?

1. - Get the "Check Engine Light" scanned and find out what code it is.
2. - As for the battery light, despite the alt and battery being new, get an alt/battery test done on the car. See if it comes back with anything worth while. Could be a failed new part, code be something else unrelated to the battery and the alt. The check engine code may reveal part of the situation.
Start there and share what you find.
