Hey everyone, I'm not quite an owner yet. But I'm planning on buying a 1980 Monte Carlo from a friend of mine. It came factory with the turbo v6, but somebody swapped in a 350 olds. Since it's already been swapped, my plan is to put in either a 5.3 or 6.0 ls style truck engine and 4l60e trans. Unless I can find a good deal on a manual.
But anyway, I haven't been able to find many parts for the 3rd gens, so I was wondering what parts from the 4th gen will fit. I know body parts won't interchange. But what about the dash, interior panels, suspension...any info appreciated. Thanks, Adam

 

Odds are no parts are going to swap over . The gen 3 car was a Rear wheel drive platform after 1988 they switched to the FWD platform the body's took a huge change.
