Post Intermittent Oil Pressure message

I have a 2006 LT. 3.5 engine with a little over 140000 miles. Bought it new and I like it very much. Has some minor Texas hail damage and the standard heater door noises under the dash.
I get the Oil Pressure Low message after starting when the weather is not too cold. After the electronics go through the BIT the message comes on. I turn off and restart and it does not come on again until I drive a little. Sometimes it comes back on and won't go out until I shut down and restart. Sometimes it will stay on for a second or two and then go away. After about 5 miles it will come on and then go out. By the time I drive 8 to 10 miles the problem goes away.
I suspect the pressure switch. I've run AMSOIL since new and never had a problem. This started after 138000 miles.
The car is my daily driver; I put about 70 miles a day on it.
Any suggestions?

Without putting putting an oil pressure gauge on the car or testing the wiring for a short, and knowing what I've learned about those oil pressure switches, I'd concur with your suspicion.

They tend to fail somewhere after 100K. I believe they are pretty cheap and usually not too much of a pain.
